Early start with a beautiful sunrise over the massive irrigation canal outside town.  

    

40 minutes walking on Tarmac till I reached the Roman road which stretched for the next 17km.  

   
     

   
     

   

There were a couple of other pilgrims did you spot them above. Then into Reliegos for a snack. Mansilla is just in view in the distance about 8km away. 

  The path between Reliegios and Mansilla was along a very bright white senda beside a very quiet road.    

One and half hours on this path was rather tedious . I’m looking forward to getting to the hills beyond Astorga in a few days for s change of scenery.
