Overcast this morning with quite a breeze which soon blew the clouds away. Set of after breakfast at 8.15 along easy straight gravel paths again. 

Crux de Valientes celebrates the settling of a land dispute between the towns of Granon and Santo Domingo. Settled by a 1 against 1 fight – Granons champion was Martin a simple farmer and Santo Domingos was a professional fighter all greased up with olive oil. Well Granon still have 2 days of fiestas each year to celebrate the outcome

Approaching Granon after 1 and half hour- must be time for another coffee. 

Granon was the last town in the province of Rioja- now into Castilla y Leon. 

Soon arrive in Redecilla del Camino and another Cafe con leche.

Soon get to final destination for the day Viloria de Rioja- the birthplace of Santo Domingo who did much to develop the Camino de Santiago in the 9th century
