Forecast and threat of rain all day so started walking in my waterproof. Straight uphill for 1 hour through woodland as a change from the cornfields of the past week.

Rain has held off and sun come out a little but still cold with windchill. 

Three hours walking brought me to first village this morning-San Juan de Ortega.

More woodland path for another hour untill the next town Ages. 

Then a 3km walk along the side of a country road to the stopover point Atapuerca. This is a world heritage site for a very large prehistoric archaeological find here.
