Meal last night turned out simple but excellent. I’m think it was his mother turned up half hour before meal was ready to do the cooking bits. Serrano ham and beautiful melon followed by excellent steak ( paid twice the price for a rubbish steak in Chipping Norton recently), chips and green salad, followed by ice cream and half bottle if excellent wine for 12€. I’m sure I was only one staying in this excellent hotel.
Awkward moment after as I followed yellow signs but they took me onto a stretch along a busy road. The guide book had said it was a wooded path for the first half of the walk. So I backtracked and past the only two groups of pilgrims following the arrows onto the main road. They Obviously thought I was going wrong way and should just follow arrows.
Anyway felt vindicated when found the alternative route through the woods. Worth the exploring. Once found the initial turning which wasn’t indicated I found markers for the rest off the way. Probably old route the locals had redirected.

5km to go and hit the outskirts of Santiago,

And here we are compled another Camino.
Salad for lunch!!! Camino has changed me.
