Foncebadon to Ponferrada 27Km

And finally we reach the Cruz de Ferro. we walked for half an hour in the dark to reach it at sunrise. This is where many drop stones  in remembrance of others or to symbolically leave “burdens” or regrets.

It is just before the highest point on the Camino Frances and then there is the fantastic walk across the hills

IMG_5715and down through the village of Acebo where i stayed last time. Ponferrada can just be seen in the valley below

Then on  to Ponferrada. which is famous for its Knights temple castle.
