In preparation for walking the Camino de Santiago, Jenny and I tested ourselves with 2 consecutive days walking of 13.5 miles – from Hay Bluff to Pandy and back along Offa’s Dyke path.
We stayed in a very comfortable room in Kilverts in Hay on Wye the night before. Not up to hostels yet…
We had glorious weather for the walk but it was very windy on the ridge.
The waymarkers looked like small gravestones – very disconcerting.
The way to Pandy involved a climb of 400m but the return next day was harder at 750m.
