Early start this morning 6.30 as I’d got 30km to cover
the church on the hill in Ventosa as I set off
It was the quietist day so far. Ventosa was an early stop yesterday. Most would have gone on till Nareja. So I didn’t see any one for an hour. Early morning light was wonderfull.
Which way to go? The ways are always wonderfully marked. Look at the junction above and see the yellow arrow on the rock in middle pointing right. Or there are usually pilgrims around-yesterday I missed an arrow and was walking straight on as I was looking at the guide book and there was a shout HOLA from a group behind me pointing me the right way with there walking poles.
Had breakfast in Najera but didn’t get a picture. Paths after were beautiful.
Attempt at selfie at 580 km marker. 200km done. Difficult to see what was on the phone screen as sun so bright .
Approaching Azorfa a one street town.
Long stretches of quiet paths again
8 hours walking and beginning to get a bit too warm.
Approaching Santo Domingo famous for its miracle of the 2 hens. Still have 2 in the Carhederal. I did see them but could not get a photo.
Another unusual thing about the cathederal was they had a dozen or more cases with religious scenes portrait by play mobile people. I’m afraid I only recognised the last supper. The labels were all in Spanish. One had hundreds of characters. This i s one -answers on a post card.

ace selfie…yeah… lovely blue skies.
Blue sky here too but not quite as vivid, has been getting into the high twenties too, warming up nicely
