Didn’t want to get up this morning but managed 7am start. Wall art in Belorado. 
4 storks nests on this church. 
Sky grey but promise of blue skies later. 
Very quiet on the track today. 
Approaching village of Villafrsca Montes de Oca above and the path afterwards starts to climb 
Though some appreciated shady paths on way up. 
Monument to group of men executed in 1936 during Spanish civil war and buried in shallow grave here close to the top of the mountain. 
Nearly 3 hours of walking through wooded areas 
Until I reached St Juan de Ortega above. This is a common stage halt but I went on another 4 km to Santovenia for better accommodation and the weather was so good to walk in. 
Into another big city tomorrow – Burgos- not really what I’m looking forward to.

It’s been easy to get up and go because the weather s been so good. Not sure how I’d feel about it if it’s was raining when I got up. Did have half day in Burgos but really didn’t enjoy it wanted to get off
