Farmers were using sprinklers on the fields. This group of cyclists were coming up behind me but the temperature was 22 by 10 o’clock so no one minded getting a little damp

A long walk beside the Canal de Castilla which provides water for irrigation 
Arrived in Fromista at 2 o’clock temperature now 30°

Not sure how you manage to walk in that heat. Hope the blisters are healing. Plenty of time for peaceful meditation – I expected the roads would be busy with pilgrims.

The first week was very busy but quieter now. There still tends to be quite a wave leaving the popular staging stops in morning but they usually spread out after a n hour or so

Celia is right. It looks amazingly peaceful. I expected there would be more people alongside you as you walk. The solitude of walking so far in such beautiful places seems very tempting now.
