For those who have read Paulo Coelho Classic book about the camino- I have found my sword. For those that haven’t read it don’t bother.
Finisterre on a beautiful sunny day yesterday when we arrived.
View from our apartment over the ” hippy beach”
The old town
The night life
the harbour
grey this morning but at least warm and not raining
The walk up to the light house
The last camino finisterre sign at 0 km and the lighthouse beyond
The fire pit where pilgrims traditionally burn heir clothes – already burnt all mine- no selfie- jenny prepares to burn hers
too cold changed her mind.
Walk back to Finisterre over the hilltop
Hippy beach ahead as we come back k down to our apartment in time for lunch
lunch at the apartment- note the rose wine In the carton €0.84 for a litre from the super market- the bottle of white was amougst the most expensive there at €3.99
After lunch Time for a siesta before going out for supper . Found a great Italian place on the harbour change from pilgrim menu. View across the road from where were sitting

I can’t believe this is the last blog, super photos and comments, enjoyed so much. Thank you. Safe travels home.
Anyway I found the next challenge PCT… Pacific Crest Trail, goes from Mexico to Canada. Reese (Witherspoon) did it in 90 days in the film Wild (based on a true story ..so must be true). More importantly there were several shots of her wearing socked sandals, in fact after she lost one of her boots of a cliff she duct taped her sandals (wearing socks) to kind of make a boot. Rachel hope you are up for it too if Reese can do it so can we.

I’m only coming if there’s a guarantee of 3-4 bars on route, good showers, clean sheets on bed and three course meals for €10 each day.
